Newsletter Volume 2.2 – October 28th, 2008

Greetings from PittsburghDesigners!

There are a few new updates to tell everyone about, so I figured I would send out a quick newsletter. It’s been a really long time since anything like this came out, so I really appreciate everyone taking the time to read these quick updates.

  1. There has been a lot of buzz around the site recently. Back in March of this year, I wrote a tutorial on how to turn a vanilla install of Wordpress into a membership directory just like what pghdesigners.com is today. The Wordpress community loved it, and that’s evidenced by the huge spike in traffic the site had back in March. [ Link ]

  2. We created a new search engine specifically for this site which makes it much easier for a client to find who they are looking for. Take a look for yourself and see how you rank for certain terms. [ Link ]

  3. There are new forms of advertising available on the site. You now have the ability to become a “Premiere Member”. Our advertising options are very cost effective, and offer great value to those who wish to participate – come see what we offer! [ Link ]

  4. Have an job that needs to be filled? Consider posting it on our job board – It is by far one of the most popular pages on the site. [ Link ]

  5. Speaking of the Job Boards – We currently have 5 jobs listed on ours. Do you know ASP, Web 2.0 or Graphic Design? If so, check them out! [ Link ]

  6. For those of you who have registered, but never came back to finish up your profile, I encourage you to do so. It certainly couldn’t hurt your business – it’s free and only takes minutes to complete! If anyone has any concerns or problems, don’t hesitate to email me back. [ Link ]

  7. For everyone that is registered and active – I thank you. If it wasn’t for you, the site wouldn’t be where it is today. Consider coming back and updating your information to keep everything current. [ Link ]

This will probably be the last email from me that you will see in a couple of months, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Holidays.

Bye!
